Transforming Fast Food Operations: Initta’s C2700 Self-Checkout Kiosk Deployment with Burger King Thailand
Updated: Sep 24
At Initta, we focus on solving real operational challenges in busy restaurant environments—reducing queues, improving order accuracy, and enabling faster service without increasing staff workload. Our collaboration with Burger King Thailand demonstrates how a well-designed self-ordering system can deliver measurable results on the ground.
Project Overview
With thousands of transactions happening daily across its outlets, Burger King Thailand required a reliable, high-throughput ordering solution that could integrate smoothly into existing store operations. The objective was clear:
Reduce front counter congestion during peak hours
Shorten ordering time while maintaining accuracy
Support multiple payment methods, including local mobile payments
Create a consistent and intuitive customer journey
The Solution: C2700 Self-Checkout Kiosk
Each restaurant installed two or more Initta’s C2700 kiosks, configured as floor-standing units to maximise visibility and accessibility within the store layout.

What made the difference in this deployment was not just the hardware—but how each component supports speed, reliability, and ease of use:
27-inch Full HD touchscreen
A large, responsive display allows customers to navigate the full menu quickly, with clear visuals that support faster decision-making and fewer input errors.
Optimised ordering interface
The system is designed for step-by-step ordering, making it easy for customers to customise meals, add extras, and complete transactions without staff assistance.
Embedded QR code scanner
Built directly into the kiosk, enabling fast adoption of mobile payments commonly used in Thailand—without requiring additional peripherals.
External PIN pad integration
Ensures secure and compliant bank card transactions, while keeping the main interface uncluttered.
Integrated 80mm thermal printer
Prints receipts with queue numbers instantly, supporting a smooth handoff to kitchen operations and organised order collection.
Commercial-grade floor-standing design
With a ceiling-to-floor pole structure, the kiosk is stable, space-efficient, and built for continuous use in high-traffic environments.
Operational Impact on the Store Floor
Following deployment, Burger King Thailand saw immediate improvements in day-to-day operations:
Reduced pressure on front counter staff
Staff can focus on food preparation and customer service rather than order-taking.
Shorter and faster-moving queues
Multiple kiosks allow parallel ordering, especially during peak periods.
Higher order accuracy
Customers input their own orders, reducing miscommunication.
Increased average ticket size
The structured interface naturally encourages add-ons and upgrades.
Faster order fulfillment
Clear queue numbering improves coordination between ordering and pickup.
A Practical, Scalable Rollout
This project highlights Initta’s ability to deliver not just kiosk hardware, but a complete, deployment-ready solution tailored to real restaurant conditions—from payment integration to physical configuration.
For global brands like Burger King, consistency and reliability across locations are critical. The C2700 platform provides a scalable foundation that can be replicated across multiple stores while adapting to local operational needs.
Looking Ahead
As customer expectations continue to shift toward speed, convenience, and control, self-ordering kiosks are becoming a standard part of the in-store experience.
Initta remains committed to building solutions that are not only technologically robust, but also practical to deploy, easy to use, and proven to perform in real-world environments.
